Crystal Clear, Digital Sound With HD Radio
106.3 The Raider, along with our simulcast in Haskell, transmits in HD Radio, giving you a digital signal that provides richer, clearer audio. Most modern car stereos are already equipped with HD receivers, making it easy for you to enjoy better sound. No need to worry if you’re traveling; your radio will automatically switch to our traditional signal in fringe areas. Tune in to the Big Country's best music, now in high definition.
HD Radio
106.3 The Raider, also known as KTJK-FM/HD1, broadcasts in the Abilene area in HD Radio. Our Haskell (98.5FM KTJO-FM/HD1) simulcast also broadcasts an HD signal. Similar to what HD was for television broadcasts 15 years ago, HD Radio is a way of transmitting the Big Country's biggest variety of music to you digitally, crystal clear, and with better audio quality than you've ever heard on the radio before.
Most late model vehicle audio systems are equipped with HD Radio receivers. All you need to do to receive our HD signal is to make sure your radio's HD modes are not disabled (check your manual, or call us for help!). Traveling in our fringe signal? Don't worry, your radio will automatically switch to our traditional signal as needed.
